Karen Mize Davis started volunteering at MUST Ministries in the 1980’s.  She has worked for MUST for 15 years.  She currently holds the position of Director of Finance and Personnel

Civic Involvement

  • Member of United Methodist Church; has held the positions of President of United Methodist Women, Vice-President of United Methodist Women, member of the Audit Committee, Finance Committee and Lay Leader
  • Served on various PTA committees including Audit of PTA budget and PTA Advisory Council
  • Served on a Citizens Advisory Council and Shoppers Advisory Council

Education/Achievements

  • Earned her undergraduate and Masters Degrees from Kennesaw State College
  • Recognized in the 2004/2005 edition of the Empire Executive and Professional Registry
  • Currently a member of SHRM
  • Karen and her family are recipients of The United Way Heart and Hand Award
  • Selected as MUST Volunteer of the Year

Work History

  • Began volunteering at MUST in the early eighties
  • Served in all capacities at MUST as a volunteer – Receptionist, Food Pantry Chairperson, MUSTwear, Food Pantry, Elizabeth Inn  and Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen, etc. and member of the MUST Advisory  Council
  • Served as Secretary of the MUST Board of Directors.   
  •  Worked at Urban Action as the Assistant Financial Manager
