Q: I have no money to eat and need a free meal. Can you help?
A: Our Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen is a separate building but on the Elizabeth Inn campus 55 Elizabeth Church Road, Marietta, GA and offers a free noon meal Monday thru Friday to anyone who is hungry and in need. You should arrive no earlier than 11:30 to wait in line for the noon meal and will need to leave the Elizabeth Inn campus by 1:00 pm. Shelter residents will not be at the Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen for this meal because they are sent to work with a sack lunch.
Q: I have no money for groceries for my family. Can you help?
A: Groceries are provided at program services locations in Canton, Marietta and Smyrna for families who are struggling financially.

A: 55 Chastain Rd NW, Suite 110, Kennesaw, GA Hours of operation: Tuesday – Saturday 9 – 5 PM. If you have more than one bag or box or need assistance unloading your donations, please park around back. The MUST warehouse is clearly marked.
Q: What types of items do you accept?
A: We accept food (unopened, wrapped) clothing and shoes (clean & gently used) dishes, new undergarments, toiletry items, blankets, towels, linens, books, back to school supplies, new unwrapped toys for our Toy Shop, appliances (working) and small household items.

A: We are unable to accept home-made food.

Q: How do I get to the Elizabeth Inn?
A: If you don't have transportation, the facility is on the bus line, Cobb County Transit bus #45. Marta does not come to Cobb County, so if you are coming from outside Cobb County, you need a ride as MUST cannot provide transportation.
Q: How can I stay at the Elizabeth Inn?
A: Space is limited and is offered on a first come first served basis, depending on availability. The priority is given to families and returning prospective guests (from the day before). As of October 1, 2013, the NEW intake hours for the Elizabeth Inn will be from 11am - 2pm. All persons seeking emergency shelter should report between those hours to determine bed and program eligibility. For more information you can call the shelter at (678) 218-4533 between the hours of 9am - 3pm.
Q: What happens if you run out of space at the Elizabeth Inn?
A: While we wish we could accomodate everyone, if MUST is full, we suggest other options.
Q: How many people can the Elizabeth Inn accomodate?
A: The shelter sleeps 64 people - 40 beds for men and 24 beds for women and children.
Q: What are the requirements to stay at the Elizabeth Inn?
A: Requirements to stay in the shelter are the following: You must have a photo ID, if you have children, either a social security card or birth certificate is needed for each child. You must be clean and sober and remain clean and sober in order to stay at the Elizabeth Inn.
Q: What if I have medical issues? Can I still stay at the Elizabeth Inn?
A: The Elizabeth Inn is not equipped to accomodate guests who are medically fragile, so please speak with a medical professional about respite care options.
Q: Do you allow sexual offenders at the Elizabeth Inn?
Q: How long can I stay at the Elizabeth Inn?
A: The shelter is a work recovery program and once you are in, you will need to have a job within 10 days. The maximum stay is 6 weeks, but our program helps clients find permanent housing following the job recovery program. Families can stay up to 8 weeks.
Q: Am I allowed to have visitors at the Elizabeth Inn?
A: Unfortunately, our program can only accommodate our guests.
Q: How can I get a job while I'm staying at the Elizabeth Inn?
A: The Elizabeth Inn has its own Employment Services program to help people look for jobs.
Q: What else should I know about the Elizabeth Inn?
* The curfew is 9:30 pm each night.
* Holidays only change the daytime schedule, allowing our guests to come and go like Saturday and Sunday. All other schedules and duties remain the same, and as always, we do not allow visitors.
* Guests should be wearing their green name badges at all times while on property. Anyone without a badge will be identified and asked to leave if not a resident or attending lunch from 12 - 1 pm.
* Daily service clients (non-residents) are only allowed on campus for lunch and must leave immediately afterward. The kitchen staff will handle clearing the area, but please make sure they do not enter the shelter or hang around the front porch.

Q: I am currently living in homelessness, but would like to take a shower or bath. Can you help?
A: If you are unable to get in the shelter program, showers are available for men Tuesday,Thursday and Friday 10 am – 12:30 pm and women on Monday and Wednesday 10 am – 12:30 pm.
Q: Do you provide housing for veterans
A: The Veteran’s Supportive Housing Program is a HUD funded program that serves male and female veterans who have experienced chronic homelessness and also live with disabilities. Veterans are referred through various avenues; other service providers that serve veterans, shelters including MUST’s Elizabeth Inn. The program has 18 beds that are specifically dedicated to veterans, although veterans are served in the Cobb and Cherokee Programs as well. Those interested are provided with an application packet and asked to complete the application and secure the required documentation. When we have open beds, qualifying applicants are interviewed by the Supportive Housing Team to determine the program’s ability to successfully support that individual.
Q: What type of assistance do you provide veterans?
A: The program is designed to support individuals in their journey to regain control of their lives and move forward towards housing stability and enhanced levels of self-sufficiency. This is achieved by working individually with residents in actively participating in his/her medical and mental health support, substance abuse recovery, assisting in goal setting, money management and daily living skills.
Q: I have been living in homelessness for a while and I need new clothes. Can you help?
A: You can receive clothing in MUSTwear when obtaining a voucher at the Elizabeth Inn campus. These services are available Monday – Friday 10:30 am – 12:30 pm.
Q: I would like to volunteer with my small children. What programs do you have available?
A: We love for families to get involved with MUST! This link provides at-home projects popular for families with young children. Moms can also join our popular facebook group Moms for MUST.
Q: My school, church, group or organization would like to volunteer by having a food drive, do you have instructions?
A: To host a food drive, you can download the Food Drive flyer to learn more. If you need a flyer to distribute for your food drive we have two currently available. One asks people to bring food, the second indicates if they bring food they get something in return.
* Other great ways for groups to support MUST include volunteering at the Donation Center or prepareing and serving meals at the Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen.
Q: Can I just come by one of your locations to volunteer or do I need to sign up first?
A: All volunteers must go through an orientation so it's best to fill out the online form first and someone from the volunteer department will contact you.

Q: What is the minimum age for volunteering?
A: Volunteers should be 18 or older. We have some great opportunities for children age 10-17 to serve if accompanied by a parent or chaparone. Please check the volunteer page for a description of volunteer positions. Shelter volunteers must be 21 or older.
