Housing

Housing is a MUST

Reliable shelter is a top priority for families experiencing homelessness. With a roof over your head and a good night’s sleep, recovering from financial difficulties becomes more achievable.

How MUST helps with housing assistance

  • MUST Hope House is an emergency shelter for men, women and children in immediate distress.
  • Permanent Supportive Housing offers long-term assistance to people experiencing long-term homelessness. Our programs in Cobb and Cherokee counties provide a stable living environment for more than 150 individuals.
  • Tenant-based rental assistance (TBRA) provides subsidies to fill the gap on what families can’t afford when paying for rent, utilities and security deposits.
  • Rapid Rehousing is a federally-funded program that intervenes when a family experiences homelessness and can be returned to permanent housing.
  • Hotel Vouchers are available in Cherokee County to those who qualify for temporary housing until a more permanent solution is found.

“MUST Ministries was there when we were in need. Because of my son’s cancer, things fell apart fast. We went from middle class to broke. In one year of housing stability, we have been able to recover quite a bit from the devastation of our family.”
